Simply great. Service, food and the view

Great winter getaway destination. Unfortunately, of course, very full, but the further you go up the mountain, the emptier it becomes.

Unfortunately closed due to Corona !! Can't really tell if it's good! The environment definitely fits!

Insane view over the valley. Unfortunately closed at the moment. Hopefully they can open again soon. Would have been nice to sit on the terrace with a nice glass of water and enjoy the view. Come again

Relatively many parking spaces in the area and you are rewarded with a great view

Highly recommended excursion destination, starting at Mummelsee. There are 2 ascent routes. At the top you can have great food and then continue hiking upstairs.

Nice view, nice ambience, with a terrace => 5 stars Prices according to the amount, Parking at the lake is not entirely unproblematic, => 3 stars Two different ways up, green road (bus traffic), yellow stony but more beautiful (sturdy shoes recommended)

Super nice location with a great terrace and many glass fronts to enjoy a wonderful view in good weather. Delicious cake and quick service. Overall, the service staff were mostly very nice and courteous. Occasional temporary workers should better watch out for waiting guests (e.g. when paying). All in all, absolutely worth a recommendation and we will definitely not be there for the last time.

Great ambience, in summer and in winter with snow. Service, according to the name tag (Caro), very friendly and attentive. I would love to come back. :)

Beautiful new restaurant on the Hornisgrinde over 1100 m high. Can only be reached on foot or by bus. Closed on Mondays. Great view. Very good kitchen and friendly staff

All around nothing to complain about ... service, view, offer ... even with the Corona hygiene concept! My goulash soup was outstanding! The climb is worth it ?

My wife and I visited the Grinde Hut yesterday while taking a walk on the Hornisgrinde. Unfortunately, there is no service on the terrace, there is only a small selection of food and drinks at a self-service window around the corner. The exclusive prices are adapted to the exclusive location. Unfortunately not the ambience on the terrace. During our stay, no tables were wiped, let alone disinfected. Nor was the dishes cleared away from the improvised and carelessly arranged "dishes return" during the hour of our stop. Why no service is possible on the terrace, I did not understand. I suspect that this has little to do with Covid-19, but is more likely to be related to saving personnel costs. The visit to the clean toilets was also perceived as rather inhospitable by the barrack-like tone of an employee, who was assured without any kind of friendliness that the hands are disinfected. Thanks to the grandiose view, the Grindelhütte obviously doesn't rely so much on a loyal regular clientele.

Mountain hut, well thought-out new building with a magnificent view. An extra counter for out-of-home sales (aka ToGo). Inside a friendly, competent reception with an explanation of the specifics of the Corona. Optionally indoors or on the terrace. Attentive and fast service, extended excursion map, and delicious food at really reasonable prices. In addition, a small but fine selection of cakes, the classic "Black Forest Cherry" is great! Then I like to run up again!

Nice place for lunch or drinks. If you are lucky, you may get a table with a nice panoramic view of the surrounding areas. Too bad the clients cannot make table reservations.

Cool lookout over Mummelsee and the hike to get there was not to bad. Lookout tower was closed because of COVID but still nice.

Excellent viewing point giving a panoramic sights across the Black Forest. It had a viewing tower that was closed at the time of my visit. It is more than a kilometre walk up but worth it. There is restaurant up there and places one can picnic. There sitting places there too but were all occupied during my visit.

Brand new, chic hut. 2 beautiful terraces: one with a view of Lake Mummel, the other with a view of the Rhine plain. Terraces are protected from the wind with glass down to the ground, so that children can also look! Operation friendly and quick and consistent with mouth-nose protection! The best coffee and cake: delicious and large selection. To make circular walk well. On the way beautiful views to the west and south and lots of benches! Conclusion: gladly again and again!

Place with amazing landscape view

This was my first visit to Grinde- Hütte, this wanderheim is so nice on the top of the mountain with amazing views. The Hütte has a warm stove inside and seating upstairs and down as well as outside. Service is very nice and professional. We enjoyed some hot cocoa with special schnapps, try the Bratapfel it is the BEST! Tastes like a caramel apple. We also had lentils and wurst, maultaschen and roulade.

We've been here as wedding guests. - The service was really great and the menu really tasty with vegetarian options. Happy to come back for lunch and a hike anytime soon!
